My name is Živilė Meškauskaitė-Gomes.

I have always turned to literature and art as a way of stepping beyond the boundaries of my own experience.

When I became a mother, I discovered that I needed that practice of reflection more than ever. The days were full and fast-moving, and I wanted to experience this intense period of life consciously rather than simply move through it on autopilot.

The Mother’s Gallery began as a way to carve out that space for myself: to spend intentional time with art that moves me and with other mothers who are navigating the same transformations.

Professionally, I am an event, media and community manager with 10 years of experience across a variety of international projects, all aimed at (re)creating meaningful connections with the world around us, with one another, and with ourselves.

I live in Vilnius, Lithuania with my husband, two babies, and a pup.
