Meet the Founder
My name is Živilė Meškauskaitė-Gomes.
I have always turned to literature and art as a way of stepping beyond the boundaries of my own experience.
When I became a mother, I discovered that I needed a practice of reflection more than ever. The days were full and fast-moving, and I wanted to experience this profound period of life consciously rather than simply move through it on autopilot.
The Mother’s Gallery began as a way to carve out that space for myself: to spend intentional time with art that moves me and with other mothers who are navigating the same transformations. Over time, it grew into something I wanted to share with others.
I live in Vilnius, Lithuania with my husband, two babies, and a pup.
You are no longer the same after experiencing art.
